Anomaly

Anomaly features a few individuals who suffer from uncommon diseases like Elephantiasis, Progeria, Werewolf Syndrome, Skin disorder and other diseases that do not have any treatment available. These diseases make it difficult for them to live a normal life. Apart from having to cope with their afflictions, these individuals are likely to become social outcastes as these diseases most often result in physical deformities which are likely to stir fear and even disgust.

Television programs often present these people as needy beings unable to help themselves. As audiences, we are left with an impression that they are freaks and sub-human. However, in my illustrations, instead of focusing on their abnormalities, I want to present these individuals as the people that they really are inside; in very normal everyday situations, able to enjoy life as much as any of us. The only difference that thus sets us apart, is our introspection.
